Federal Pool Eligibility
The following people are eligible for coverage in MHIP's federal pool if they are legal residents of Missouri and can show all of the following:
- They are a citizen or national of the United States or are lawfully present in the United States
- They have not been covered under creditable coverage for a continuous six-month period prior to the date on which they are applying for coverage in the federal pool
- They have had a problem getting insurance due to a pre-existing condition
