Grant funds offer 2013 premium assistance

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have awarded grant funds to the Missouri Health Insurance Pool for the 2013 premium assistance program. MHIP offers premium assistance through MHIP+ to Missouri residents with moderate or low household income. The subsidy will be applied to the 2013 policy period. The first subsidized premium will appear on members' January 2013 premium statement.

MHIP state pool members will receive detailed information and applications in early October. The application will be available on this website once printed materials are sent.

Applications are approved on a first-come, first-served basis, and are date and time stamped upon receipt at the MHIP office. The application must be complete and include income verification for timely consideration.
